Fall 2026 Anime Season Guide: What to Watch on Crunchyroll and Netflix

The Fall 2026 anime season began on September 26, 2026, and runs through October and into December across two main platforms in the West: Crunchyroll and Netflix. Crunchyroll's schedule groups more than 30 new and returning titles into roughly three weeks of premieres, while Netflix runs its own separate slate of licensed and original shows.

Crunchyroll's Fall 2026 Lineup

According to ScreenRant's release-date tracker, Crunchyroll's fall 2026 catalog totals 34 new series and season returns, premiering between September 26 and October 16, 2026. The season opened with A Wild Last Boss Appeared! Season 2 (WAO World) on September 26 and Overgeared (J.C.STAFF) on September 27, followed by As a Reincarnated Aristocrat, I'll Use My Appraisal Skill to Rise in the World Season 3 (GeyeG Pictures) the same day.

The first week of October carries the heaviest premiere load. The Apothecary Diaries Season 3 (OLM) and Black Clover Season 2 (Pierrot) both begin on October 2 and October 3 respectively, alongside Aoashi Season 2 (TMS Entertainment) on October 4 and Magic Knight Rayearth (E&H Production) on October 7. Firefly Wedding (David Production) follows on October 9, according to ScreenRant and Siliconera's coverage of Crunchyroll's announcement.

Crunchyroll kept expanding the slate after the initial announcement. AnimeUKNews reported nine additional titles joining through October, including From Far Away (Studio Deen, October 4), A Certain Dark Item (J.C.Staff, October 9) and HORROR COLLECTOR (studio pallet, October 10). The Stardust Mag's rundown of the same wave of additions lists Dandivine (Good Smile Company/Liden Films) for October 7, while AnimeUKNews dates the same title to October 8 — the two outlets differ on that single premiere day.

Netflix's Separate Fall Slate

Netflix runs its own fall 2026 anime schedule independently of Crunchyroll. Per Whats-on-Netflix's October 2026 tracker, the platform's headline premieres include Ranma 1/2 Season 3 on October 3, Blue Box Season 2 on October 4, and Rooster Fighter Season 1 on October 10. Snowball Earth and The Ramparts of Ice Season 2 both began weekly runs on October 1, and Dragon Ball Super: Beerus starts October 17.

Netflix's only fall 2026 anime original is Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Season 2, set for October 20, 2026. Steel Ball Run, the Netflix title covering JoJo's Bizarre Adventure's second stage, continues its weekly Friday episodes through December 4.
