Everything on this page describes what the software actually does. Where a claim cannot be substantiated yet, it says so.

How the Human Vector is computed
Six trade-offs, each mapped to one axis. Every answer is one of five fixed positions (0, 25, 50, 75, 100). The vector is those six numbers — nothing is inferred, weighted by a model, or adjusted afterwards. Given the same six answers the result is byte-identical, today and after the event.

How the archetype is chosen
Eight archetypes, each defined by a fixed prototype vector. Yours is the nearest prototype by Euclidean distance. Ties resolve to the earlier archetype in a fixed list, so the outcome never depends on timing or floating-point noise. The mapping is versioned: changing it mints a new version rather than rewriting results already published.

What AI does and does not do
No language model decides your numbers, your archetype, or any count on this site. AI is used for translation, for moderation assistance, and to describe aggregate patterns from figures that were already computed. It cannot introduce a number that is not in the data.

How trees are counted
Committed, funded and verified are three different states and are never added together. Committed means revenue has been received and the obligation exists. Funded means the reforestation partner accepted the order and returned a record. Verified means the partner's own evidence supports it. A tree appears as verified only in the third case.

Open answers
Your written answer is stored but not published unless you explicitly opt in AND it passes moderation. Both conditions are required; neither alone publishes anything.

What this is not
This is a self-selected internet experiment. People who choose to participate are not a random sample of humanity, and the results should never be read as a survey of the world. Country comparisons are published only above a minimum sample size, and the sample size is always shown next to the figure.
